Pier Construction & Repair
Pier Construction
Quality pier construction begins with a solid foundation. Pilings are driven into the lakebed, riverbed or oceanfront to create lasting stability, then reinforced with heavy framing and marine-grade hardware. Decking is installed in pressure-treated lumber or low-maintenance composite, using stainless or galvanized fasteners designed to handle constant exposure to water.
Every shoreline is different, and so is every build. Narrow fishing piers, wide recreational platforms, or multi-use boat piers each require tailored design. Fixed piers provide unmatched stability, while floating piers rise and fall with changing water levels for year-round access. As an experienced waterfront contractor, we match the structure to the site conditions, ensuring safety, strength, and long-term performance.
Pier Repair
Over time, even the best piers face wear from water, weather, and heavy use. Our pier repair services cover everything from replacing rotted pilings and cracked decking boards to tightening fasteners and reinforcing cross-bracing. Many older piers can be restored without a complete rebuild, saving both time and cost.
Storm damage, ice shifts, or prolonged exposure can also leave sections unstable. In those cases, we provide partial rebuilds, tying new framing and decking into the existing pier for a seamless repair. We also handle upgrades, such as swapping wood decking for composite or replacing corroded hardware with marine-grade materials.
